We recently sold the “Golden Arrow” headboard for a staggering £25,000 a worksplate from the LNER A4 Pacific “Lord Faringdon” for £10,200 and a brass crest from the GWR “Castle” class loco “South Wales Borderers” for £10,200. On 11th December 2004 we made another world record of £60,000 for a name-plate, beating our previous double world record of £54,000.
Other records include £9,200 for a totem and record prices for railway tickets and other ephemera.
