451SCALED DOWN NAMEPLATE AND SMOKEBOX “Sir Archibald Sinclair”. Made by apprentices at Brighton Works in 1948 and presented to Sir Archibald at the naming ceremony. After his death, the item was donated to the Bluebell Railway to be sold to raise funds for the preservation of the locomotive. The purchaser at the time has had it in his collection ever since. Brass and cast iron, nicely mounted on 15” x 4” wooden plinth. VGC. £460
