Lot 161 Early and Historical Paperwork: ALFRETON IRON WORKS ledger type hardback tome. 740 pages, approx half used to record the company accounts for 1868 to 1919. Damage to covers, contents OK for age. The company was thought to have supplied material for the building of St.Pancras station. - This item was not sold.
Lot 162 Early and Historical Paperwork: GNSR invitation card to the opening of the Moray Firth Coast Railway on 1st May 1886. 9" x 7", thin card, coloured design showing coat of arms and views of landmarks on the railway. - Sold for £45 to bidder number 1555.
Lot 163 Early and Historical Paperwork: HEREFORD, ROSS & GLOUCESTER RAILWAY book of approx 100 counterfoils for share script certificates for one share, deposit paid. Red print, dated 1851. - This item was not sold.
Lot 164 Early and Historical Paperwork: BRIGHTON, UCKFIELD & TUNBRIDGE WELLS RAILWAY catalogue for the sale of contractors' plant. 16pp auction catalogue for sale held at Uckfield in September 1868. Lot 166 Early and Historical Paperwork: SWINDON, MARLBOROUGH & ANDOVER RAILWAY. Collection of six documents dated 1869 - 1875 mainly relating to the opening of the railway, including programme of opening day events, admission ticket, ceremony of turning of the first sod, etc. (6) - Sold for £110 to bidder number 2661.
Lot 167 Early and Historical Paperwork: BUXTON AND HIGH PEAK JUNCTION handwritten declaration between the local landowner and the LNWR re land required for the construction of the railway. Large size, 4 pages plus small plan of area affected, dated 1880. - Sold for £22 to bidder number 861.
Lot 168 Early and Historical Paperwork: GLASGOW & RENFREW DISTRICT RAILWAY "Book of Reference". Large sized 38pp in clothbound card covers with title in gold on front. Dated 1896. Lists all the properties affected by the building of the line. - Sold for £85 to bidder number 1555.
